Hydraulic Arm Project
Interpersonal 21st Century Skill
The Hydraulic Arm Project was assigned to us as our 3rd Quarter Engineering project. We were required to make a functioning arm made of recycled materials that was powered by provided hydraulic syringes. The class was split up into groups of around three for this assignment.
This is one of only a few projects I did this year that included other partners, so I thought it would be a good fit for the Interpersonal skill. It was a bit of a struggle to get started right away, and on top of that, one of our members got switched to a different group. This made things more complicated during the early stages of the project. We eventually got past it, and we started working really well together. Slowly we got in rhythm with our roles within our group, and the scheduled times we would work.
Our finished project was an overall success, and it was a great way to further my Interpersonal skills.
